This summer our weekly Distilled Theology gatherings will be focusing on the book Faitheist by Chris Stedman.
Faitheist tells the story of how Chris became part of a conservative, evangelical Christian church just at the time he was also realizing that he was gay. That experience, in part, led him to atheism. Now he works as the assistant humanist chaplain at Harvard to create dialogue, relationships, and common ground across the atheist-religious divide.
We'll be beginning with the foreword and first chapter on Wednesday, July 19th and plan to continue with one chapter per week after that. Don't let finances keep you from showing up. Contact us if you need help purchasing a book.
Distilled Theology meets each Wenesday from 5:15-6:15pm at Smiley's Pub in downtown Richmond, 39 N 8th St.
