Genesis of the YMCA is in dire need of volunteers!

Friends,

I recently contacted GENESIS of the YWCA to see if they could accept donations of women's clothes & toiletries. The GENESIS employee I spoke with remarked that while they are usually happy to accept such donations, they are unable to right now because they don't have volunteers to help process the donations. A loss of volunteers in recent years (and especially the past months) means that they have a back-log of materials to sort through and distribute.

GENESIS is in dire need of volunteers to help out their one paid staff member who serves volunteer coordinator and is currently trying to do all the work that volunteers usually do. Obviously, she can't do it herself--but fortunately, that's where we can come in!

If you have a heart for GENESIS and would like to give even an hour per week of your time, please contact me for more information. The program seeks volunteers from 3-11pm, Monday through Friday. 

If you cannot volunteer time, they ask that you consider making a donation of food, money, or cleaning supplies.
