Matt’s Musings: Being and Doing
It recently came up in conversation that our congregation seems to emphasize “doing” over “being” when it comes to how we engage with our faith, perhaps even to the point that those who might prefer “being” would feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. Insurrection Book Discussion: To believe is human. To doubt, divine
Our discussion of the book Insurrection, by Peter Rollins, has been a great success! As we look towards finishing our discussions, we’ve reached a diverging point. The group that meets at Smiley’s Pub on Tuesdays at 5:15pm will be finishing up the final two chapters on June 5 and 12. The Sunday morning group is currently on hold as our main participants are out of town for a few weeks. We’ll pick back up with Chapter 6 on Sunday mornings sometime in July. Read full newsletter

New Reimbursement Guidelines
One of the Ministry Team’s goals for the remainder of 2012 is to increase our financial accountability through clarifying our policies and practices. We’ve started by creating a new set of guidelines for receiving reimbursement for church budget items and special funds. Read full newsletter
