Each year on September 21st, Peace Day, people of faith around the world lift up prayers for peace to overcome violence and hatred. Come join with persons from across Richmond for “Praying for Ceasefire”, a prayer vigil from 5pm-6pm Friday, September 21st. We will meet on the lawn of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 800 N A St. Richmond, IN.
We are excited to welcome Aaron Stevens from the Richmond Police Department and Aaron Nell from Alternatives to Violence to share some thoughts and reflections on how this year’s theme relates to our city. Other community voices for peace will also be a part of our program.
Persons of all faith backgrounds are invited to take part in this special event. You’re also invited to bring a picnic lunch and join in a time of fellowship on the lawn as the vigil concludes at 6.
