Many folks in our congregation are familiar with (or involved in) the work of New Community Project (NCP), a group with Church of the Brethren roots seeking to make our world a better place for everyone through community building, education, and environmental awareness.

April 22nd is observed annually as Earth Day, though celebrations are often held on the nearest weekend. This year our church sponsored an Earth Day prayer gathering as part of the 2009 Community United Prayer Services.
